Welcome
The Provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are proud to present the 2nd Annual Atlantic Access & Privacy Workshop. The workshop is a great opportunity to meet, network and share ideas with colleagues from the access and privacy community across the Atlantic provinces.
With over 25 sessions available, carefully slotted into several themed streams, this event will appeal to any individual, public or private sector, who finds him/herself dealing with Access to Information & Privacy issues. Like last year, this year's program will have both an Access stream and a Privacy stream. As well, this year's program will feature 4 new streams: Federal, Resources, IM and Private Sector (geared towards issues facing business in the Maritimes). The theme of this year's event is Building the Information Access & Privacy Community.
Atlantic Access and Privacy Workshop, 2006:
The focus of this year's program is to bring together the diverse community within the public and private sectors responsible for FOI (Freedom of Information) and Privacy. This series of sessions offers a fast-paced, participatory, and results-based event that is driven by current priorities. Genuine case studies will be used to help participants to articulate the issues to be resolved, and to identify solution options. Delegates will also:
- Discuss, identify, and address the many challenges faced by managers of information held by public and private sector institutions
- Learn from the wide range of expertise available to the public and private sectors, both internal and external to the community
- Network with, and build the "Access and Privacy Communities"
Join your colleagues today and open doors to new and exciting ideas in the world of access & privacy! Register now.
We look forward to seeing you in Halifax on June 19th and 20th.
