The Information Management Renaissance

AGENDA UPDATED: Plenary and Breakout Sessions have been laid out for this year's event! Please click here for more information on Ottawa's only IM Conference in the Fall of 2007.

I would like to invite you to attend our Chapter's latest Seminar.

At this event, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, November 21st and 22nd, 2007, we will be exploring the worldwide Renaissance of the practice of Information Management. Drawing inspiration from the recently updated Government of Canada Policy on Information Management, we are gathering speakers from near and far to address subjects that are experiencing a new beginning, assisting you in updating your IM goals and methods, and in seeking the support justified by your renewed IM program.

This fun and educational program will provide attendees from the private and public sectors an opportunity to create their own unique educational experience by selecting one of three different streams of learning:

  • Art: for the RM / ATIP / Legal practitioner, the ‘Art’ Stream will address privacy, security, access and related issues.
  • Philosophy: for the Librarian / Archivist / Manager, the ‘Philosophy’ stream will address policy, HR issues, preservation, as well as the pursuit of executive buy-in.
  • Science: for the the IT practitioner, the ‘Science’ stream will address classification, profiling, meta-data, retention & disposition, and related issues.

Once again, ARMA is providing you with an affordable way to invest in your organization's most valuable assets - your employees. We are also happy to offer 3 different optional workshops on Thursday, November 22nd, each intended to complement one of the Seminar streams!

Please refer to the conference web pages for upcoming Seminar program details.
