WELCOME
Good Day!
In the Fall of 2006, CAPAPA hosted a full-day workshop that provided its delegates with the tools enabling them to establish an information access and privacy mindset in their respective organizations. The day was a roaring success, and after years of further establishing itself as Canada’s leading national association that is dedicated to the professional development of Privacy and Access Professionals in both the private and public sectors, CAPAPA returns with another workshop series.
CAPAPA’s 2009 Spring Workshop Series; It Starts Here…. will provide attendees from the private and public sectors with the opportunity to choose one or more sessions from a list of half-day and full-day workshops. This is not a conference….this about professionals talking to professionals to create something new and useful. Take advantage of this opportunity to be at the forefront of the development of these new tools. Make it work for you. We have identified or are identifying facilitators for the following workshops:

HOST & SUPPORTING ASSOCIATIONS
CAPAPA
The Canadian Association of Professional Access and Privacy Administrators (CAPAPA) is the leading national association in Canada that is dedicated to the professional development of Canadian Access and Privacy Professionals in the private and public sectors. As an independent non-profit NGO, CAPAPA enjoys — and offers — a reach and latitude not available elsewhere.
CAPAPA and its members across Canada are dedicated to advancing and increasing awareness of privacy and information access.
CAPAPA plays a cornerstone role in Canada’s privacy and access landscape, and has made landmark advances in establishing meaningful made-in-Canada accreditation standards and professional certification of information access and privacy professionals in Canada.
As Canada’s voice of privacy and access, CAPAPA is a valuable resource for CAPAPA members from coast to coast in the private, public, and government sectors — and for every member of the general public who has an interest in Canadian privacy compliance and access to information.
For more information about professional certification and other CAPAPA initiatives, or to join CAPAPA, visit www.capapa.org or email info@capapa.org.
Who Should Attend?
Access and Privacy principles need to be woven into the way business is conducted, rather than being something that is applied or tagged onto your processes. Information Access and Privacy Professionals in both the public and private sectors realize how hard this is to accomplish.
Access and Privacy is no longer a topic of interest only to your freedom of information & privacy coordinator.
The Access & Privacy Workshop is for any person whose work is affected by the any Access & Privacy legislation. Help your organization to be ready for the changes in these developing fields rather than reacting to them after the fact.
