Municipal Information Systems Association of Ontario

The Municipal Information Systems Association (MISA) is an established Canadian Association of municipal government representatives and others interested in the effective use of information technology to provide better and more cost effective services to municipal taxpayers and clients.


The Canadian Association of Professional Access and Privacy Administrators (CAPAPA) is a unique association that is dedicated to the ongoing professional development, education and expanded expertise of individuals who work in the information access and privacy field. Incorporated in June, 2002, CAPAPA has members across Canada in both the private sector and all levels of government.

CAPAPA has been created in response to the growing demand for information access and protection of privacy (IAPP) professionals in the private and public sectors. The Faculty of Extension of the University of Alberta has played a key role in helping to facilitate the creation of this professional association.


AMCTO (Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario) represents excellence in local government administration and management. As Canada's largest municipal professional association, AMCTO has provided education & training, advocacy, and leadership for Ontario's municipal professionals for the last seventy years..
