CONSTRUCTION ON SIMCOE STREET

The City of Toronto has been working on replacing a large underground storm sewer catchment tank on Simcoe Street, by the North Building parking garage and loading docks entrance. Construction is on schedule, and will be completed by the end of October 2008.

At this time, the Simcoe Street extension will also be completed. Simcoe Street will now extend south through a new tunnel to cross Bremner Boulevard, and connect to Lakeshore Boulevard. Simcoe Street will accommodate 2 new south-bound lanes, which will provide an efficient route to access the MTCC South Building.
