Why should I attend?
PHIPA is intended to strike the right balance between the legitimate need of health professionals to collect, use or disclose personal health information and the need to maintain the confidentiality of such sensitive information. It also inherently forces responsible health information custodians to practice responsible health information management.
The summit will offer the healthcare community of Ontario the chance to further enhance their training with both case studies as well as plenary lectures. The PHIPA Summit 2006 will also provide an opportunity for the health provider community to share their own experiences with PHIPA over the last year, to learn best practices and to participate in spirited debate and discussion with field leaders.
Join us to:
- further explore the world of EHRs
- discuss best practices
- discover PHIPA's impact on medical research
- establish a health information management strategy for your organization
- discuss Knowledge Exchange Networks, Circles of Care & Quality of Care Assessments
- and much, much more!
Finally, the summit is an invaluable opportunity to meet and engage in a dialogue with the regulatory body of the legislation, the creators of the legislation as well as professional IM strategists. We look forward to seeing you on October 16th & 17th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
