Saskatchewan Access, Privacy, Security, & Records Management Forum 2010

Why Should I Attend?

Meaningful connections between citizens, government and health trustees can be strengthened by a commitment to openness, transparency and quality service. Access to information/Freedom of Information laws help public bodies (government institutions, local authorities) and health trustees be more open and accountable while privacy laws and security practices help to ensure the protection of personal information held by those public bodies and health trustees, and, finally, information/records management is the glue that holds it all together.

While technology has been a key enabler for service improvement across all levels of government, it also presents all public servants and health trustees with an inherent challenge. Hence, a corresponding need exists to educate and enhance responsible practices. These practices can take shape through education, developed policies, and forums like this.

The Access and Privacy Branch, Saskatchewan Justice and Attorney General, is proud to host the Saskatchewan Access, Privacy, Security and Records Management Forum. Experienced professionals will have the opportunity to hone their skills with challenging advanced topics, while those who are new to the field or encounter challenges less often can build a solid grounding in the fundamentals with comprehensive introductory sessions.
